Karen Boyd Williams is hardworking, diligent, and passionate about helping her clients to satisfy their legal needs. She listens closely, counsels wisely, and works tirelessly until the job is done.
Karen received her Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. Prior to obtaining her law degree, she earned a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. She is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas, by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, by the Illinois Supreme Court, and by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, General Bar and Trial Bar. She is also a certified title insurance agent.
Karen has a broad array of experience, including providing service as an arbitrator for the Texas Department of Insurance, the Texas Comptroller's Office, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), for the Colorado Department of Insurance, and for Balance Billing Virginia. She has also served as fractional General Counsel for multiple small businesses and non-profit organizations, and she has represented individual clients in real estate, probate, and other legal areas.
Karen has served on several Boards of Directors and Advisors, including the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County, the NAACP, Lake County Chapter, the Salvation Army Waukegan, Daisy's Resource and Optional School, and Ms. Glades School of Chaplaincy. She is also a part of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the Northern District of Texas, United States District Court, and has served as a volunteer attorney for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and for Prairie State Legal Services.
What Karen cherishes most of all is her relationship with God, and the blessing he has given her in having a wonderful family.
